French River Bandits and Mighty Men of Sasquatch!

Let's meet up for some outdoor fun! We have once again been invited to help out at Silverwood Park. As last year, we've been asked spruce up the Nature Exploration area. We'll gather some various items in the park -- Leaves, Acorns, Pinecones, and Sticks -- and fill the wood boxes which the Voyagers made in 2023. We'll also disassemble any stick forts in the area! 

Please park in the picnic area. From there, we'll head to the Nature Exploration area (see map below)

Activities / how we can help at the Nature Play/Exploration Area to keep Silverwood awesome:

• Take down the sticks from the big fort and organize them in piles that are generally by thickness of the big sticks

• Fill the 5 bins with natural materials:
  -  Leaves
  -  Smaller Sticks
  -  Acorns – you will probably need to go over to the oak savannah or get a group of you to go there in order to collect acorns.  It isn’t a mast year where the trees are overproducing, but you should still be able to get a fair amount
  -  Pinecones – you can go to the stand of pine trees that is near the entrance to the park where the paved walking trail crosses the road

• Re-arrange the larger stumps so that they are in a line and kids might be able to jump from stump to stump

• Make it look nice!
